Multiple Teams · Varsity Boys lose on last second shot at Waite, 55-54

Despite having a one point lead with 8 seconds to go, the Varsity Boys could not hang on as they lost on a last second shot at Waite, 55-54. Devin Williams (16 points) hit one of two free throws take the precarious 1 point lead before Waite went the length of the court to win the game. Chris Reed added 11 points in the loss. The loss drops the Spartans to 10-6 overall and 4-3 in the City League. Their next contest comes at home against the Bowsher Rebels on February 7th. Tip time is set for 7:30 PM.

The JV team won a thriller as Jake Baumgartner hit a fall away 3-pointer to win the game for the Spartans, 40-39. After being up by 6 points midway through the 3rd quarter, the Indians went on a 22-0 run which seemed to end the Spartans night. However, the team responded with full court pressure and some clutch shooting to complete the comeback win.

The freshman team won 43-26 as Adrian Michael had 18 points while Antoine Adams contributed 8 points.
