Boys Junior Varsity Basketball · JV Boys capture City Title over Rogers, Freshman fall to Bowsher

The tense moments at the end of the JV game ended up going in the favor of the Start Spartans as Jake Baumgartner cashed in on his second free throw with 8.4 seconds left to propel the JV Boys team to a City Championship over Rogers, 45-44. In a game of back and forth swings of emotion, the Spartans prevailed in the end to give head coach Tareem Warren a City title.

In the freshman game, the score was tied at 33 late in the 3rd quarter but Bowsher took off from there scoring 16 unanswered points before a late bucket by Start that proved to be the winning margin, 49-35.

Good job by both programs and way to represent Start HS!
