Boys Varsity Baseball · Varsity Baseball off to a 2-2 start after battling weather issues

NW Ohio weather has not been kind to the spring sports teams so far which has disrupted the schedules for many of the teams here at Start HS. The varsity baseball team is one of them but found some respite when they traveled down to Myrtle Beach, SC for their spring trip.

They faced stiff competition in all 3 games going 1-2 overall. Their lone win came against Huntington, WV on a 1-0 shutout by Nick Gogol who also had the game winning RBI. Their two losses came against teams from Virginia and North Carolina.

Returning home to the chilly air, the Spartans defeated Woodward 11-0 behind two hits each from seniors Owen Adler and Dakiya Shaw. Jacob Clark pitched 5 innings for the victory giving up only 1 hit.

Their record stands at 2-2 overall and 1-0 in the City League.
