Girls Varsity Soccer · Girls Soccer defeats Rogers, ties Fremont Ross


The Lady Spartans went on the road Monday to Fremont Ross and fell behind quickly 2-0 before senior Taylor Jagielski scored two goals to even the score. Aliyah Austin notched her first goal of the season to put the Lady Spartans ahead at the half, 3-2. The Little Giants scored the equalizer with just under 20 minutes to play despite solid defense by the Lady Spartans leading up to that point. Down a player with 10 minutes to go, the Lady Spartans held on to keep the game tied at 3.

In their home opener, the Lady Spartans sprinted out to a quick 2-0 lead behind two goals from Jagielski but the Rams battled back to tie the score at 2. Late in the game, Jagielski answered the call again with the game winning goal with under 10 minutes to play. Their record stands at 1-1-1.

Their next contest comes on Tuesday, September 4th at 5:00 PM versus Northwood.
