Both Junior Spartan boys basketball teams defeated Bowsher at home tonight. The A team now advances to face Rogers in the City League final four Monday night. Lady Spartans prepare for City Title tilt

The Lady Spartan JV and Varsity teams are preparing today for tomorrow’s Girls City League championship games. The JV team tips off at 1:00 versus Rogers while the Varsity squad follows at 3:00 against the same opponent. Both contests take place in Grant Murray Fieldhouse on the campus of Waite High School.

Jr. Lady Spartans fall in both championships

The Jr. Lady Spartans had a rough go of it in both city championships tonight at Woodward High School. In the first game, Nautica Garrison led Start with 9 points but it wasn’t enough to overcome Woodward in the ‘B’ team final. Woodward led most of the way in defeating the Spartans, 25-11. In the

Varsity Girls move on to City Finals

Nadia Dumas scored 11 points along with Michela Perdue’s 9 leading Start to the City Finals against Rogers. The Spartans sprinted out to a quick lead and never looked back in defeating Scott on their home floor. The Lady Spartans will now face the Rogers Rams on Saturday at 3:00 at Waite High School.

New Wall Imaging at Start HS

Thanks to the hard working folks at Varsity Pride, Start HS has new wall imaging that has been added to the Athletic Lobby and the ‘Green Mile’. Many thanks to TPS Administration for assisting with this project as well.

Wrestling takes 3rd at City League Meet

  The wrestlers placed 3rd at the City League Finals on February 7th at Bowsher. They had a team total of 131 points and finished behind both Gibsonburg and Waite.
