Track season begins Monday for boys and girls

Track season officially begins Monday, March 9th after school. Please see Coach Wodarski (boys coach) or Coach Wolfe (girls coach) for more information. Practices will begin after school on Monday. We hope to see you there!

Wrestlers to compete at Districts

  Senior Tyler Cox leads a group of four wrestlers that will be competing in the district wrestling tournament at Cleveland State University this weekend. He will be joined by Tareek Mosby, Brandon Hand and Jose Alfaro. Wrestling begins tomorrow at 4:00 and continues on Saturday. Good luck to the coaching staff and our grapplers

Varsity Boys fall to Whitmer in Sectional Tourney

The Varsity Boys team had a difficult time scoring in tonight’s sectional final versus Whitmer. They suffered a lopsided defeat at the hands of the Panthers, 63-25. A slow start doomed the Spartans as they fell behind by 17 at the half, 27-10. The Spartans finish the season at 10-13.

Varsity Boys prepare for Sectional

The Boys Varsity basketball team will take on neighborhood rival Whitmer in a sectional basketball tilt tomorrow night at 7 PM. The game will take place at the Grant Murray Fieldhouse on the campus of Waite High School. In their last game, the Spartans fell to Rogers in double overtime in the Toledo City League

Congrats to Boys Toledo City All-League

The Boys Varsity team placed four members on the Toledo City League All-City team. Deonte Henderson was 1st team All-City and averaged 14 points per game this year. Hermonte Scott was on the 2nd team. Ke’Yaree Atkins and Daijan Shaw were both Honorable Mention selections. Congratulations!

The Start wrestlers competed in the sectional tourney yesterday at Clay High School. Four wrestlers placed to move on to the district tournament next weekend at Cleveland State University. JV Boys capture City League Title

Despite getting off to a slow start, the JV Boys held their composure to come back and defeat the Scott Bulldogs, 62-56. The Spartans are the JV City League Champions. Congrats to Mariah White, Michae’la Perdue, Marquasia Turner and Mahogany Jackson for being named to the City League All-City Girls Basketball teams.
