Girls JH Teams in City Championships

  Good Luck to the Jr. Lady Spartans today at Woodward. Both teams are competing in the City Championships at Woodward HS today at 5:00. Come out and support the teams! Go Spartans!

Varsity Girls move on to City Finals

Nadia Dumas scored 11 points along with Michela Perdue’s 9 leading Start to the City Finals against Rogers. The Spartans sprinted out to a quick lead and never looked back in defeating Scott on their home floor. The Lady Spartans will now face the Rogers Rams on Saturday at 3:00 at Waite High School.

New Wall Imaging at Start HS

Thanks to the hard working folks at Varsity Pride, Start HS has new wall imaging that has been added to the Athletic Lobby and the ‘Green Mile’. Many thanks to TPS Administration for assisting with this project as well.

Wrestling takes 3rd at City League Meet

  The wrestlers placed 3rd at the City League Finals on February 7th at Bowsher. They had a team total of 131 points and finished behind both Gibsonburg and Waite. Individual champions for the Spartans were Matt Huss, Brandon Hand and Tyler Cox. Their next competition will be at Clay High School in the Sectional

Varsity Girls prepare for City Semis

The Varsity Girls will take on Scott High School tonight in the second game of the Girls City League semifinals. The game will take place at Scott with a start time of 7:30. Good luck ladies!

Ready to Defend the City League

  Baseball practice gets underway Monday, February 23rd and the Spartans are ready to defend the City League title.

Varsity Boys top Fostoria 69-58

Chase Wanamaker scored 17 points to lead the Spartans to the road victory over Fostoria. Hermonte Scott added 14 points while Deonte Henderson chipped in with 11 points as well. Their record stands at 9-11 overall with their last regular season game coming this Friday at Bowsher.

JV Boys roll Redmen 68-31

Ben Wortham and Santo Perez both scored 10 points to lead a balanced attack in defeating Fostoria last night 68-31. The Spartans led by 10 at the half but held the Redmen to only 10 second half points in the dominating victory. Chris Reed also chipped in with 9 points. The JV Boys next play

Frosh Boys fall to Redmen 48-42

The Spartans came up short in their effort to top the Fostoria Redmen, 48-42. Start was led by Larenzo Leake with 11 points. Genesis Brooks chipped in with 11 points and Malik Shabazz added 10 to the Spartans total. The freshmen play their last game this Friday against Bowsher.
