Girls Cross-Country captures City League Title, Morales places 2nd for boys

Led by the the top two finishers, Amari Franklin (1st place) and Lexi Tafelski (2nd place), the Lady Spartans came out victorious on a chilly morning at Collins Park Golf Course. Hasia Mack finished in 4th place while Da’mya Westbrook came in 7th place. Cierra Fizer and Cara Wright also placed on 2nd team All-City.

Sylvania Striders summer running program starts tomorrow June 4th at 8am, behind Stranahan Elementary, 3840 N Holland-Sylvania Rd. Girls Cross Country Conditioning

State Cross Country Meet

On a cool afternoon race down in Hebron, Ohio, Freshman Alexis Medrano ran her first Ohio State Cross Country meet.  Alexis finished with her second fastest time of the year 19:34.7, placing 83rd out of 178 athletes in the meet.  Great Job!!       

Regional Meet in Tiffin

When the gun went off, Freshman Alexis Medrano, ran right to the front of the pack.  Alexis held her spot for the entire race, finishing 4th with a time of 19:36.7.  Congratulations for being the first Lady Spartan for making it to the State meet since 1995. Freshman Alexis Medrano will compete this weekend in Tiffin with a right to advance to the State tournament next weekend in Columbus. District Cross Country meet
