Despite taking the first two sets of the City League championship match, the Lady Spartans couldn’t win the decisive 3rd set losing to their arch rival Bowsher, 25-20, 25-23, 8-25, 17-25 and 11-15. The Lady Spartans of Start defeated the Lady Spartans of Lima Senior last night to gain their first sectional victory in quite some time…history books do not show when the last time the Lady Spartans of Start won a sectional tournament match. The volleyball team came out with a purpose Wednesday night defeating the visiting Lady Rams in straight sets to run their City League record to 8-0 overall.
