Senior Softball players to participate in BCSN All-Star Game

Bionca Hernandez, Sabrina Trenchik and Liz Chagolla will represent Start HS in the BCSN All-Star softball game on Wednesday, June 14th at 5:00. The game will be played at Anthony Wayne High School. Congrats ladies on this honor!

JV Softball wins City Title while Varsity is Runner-Up

The JV Softball squad captured a city championship this past Saturday defeating Bowsher, 16-4. Varsity Softball trips up Rogers, 15-5

Brianna Bee went the distance and Emily Marsh had 3 hits to lead the Lady Spartans to a 15-5 victory over the Rogers Rams. The Lady Spartans pounded out 17 hits and kept a firm hold on 2nd place in the City League standings. Their next contest comes this Friday, May 12th at Scott Park

Varsity Softball loses in Sectional game, 13-4

The Lady Spartans held a 3-1 lead heading into the 5th inning but Fremont Ross responded with 7 runs to take an 8-3 lead eventually adding on more to win, 13-4. Grace Szabo suffered the loss for the Lady Spartans. The Lady Spartans bow out of the state tournament with an overall record at 12-9.

Varsity Softball wins in exciting fashion

Down 8-6 entering the bottom of the 7th, the Lady Spartans softball team completed a huge comeback capped by Grace Szabo’s walk-off home run to win 10-9 over the Northwood Rangers. Varsity Softball Sectional Game moved to May 8th

The sectional softball game between the Lady Spartans and Fremont Ross has been moved to May 8th at 5:00. The game will still be played at the softball complex at Bowman Park. Admission is $6.00 for adults and $4.00 for students.

Sectional Tournament Sites and Opponents

The Sectional Tournament sites for both baseball and softball have been determined. The baseball team will travel to Perrysburg High School next Monday, May 8th at 5:00 for their sectional game while the softball team will host Fremont Ross this Saturday, May 6th at 11:00 AM at the softball complex at Bowman Park. Varsity Softball loses to Bowsher but defeats Waite

The Bowsher Rebels scored early and often in their 12-1 victory over the Lady Spartans on Monday. Grace Szabo suffered the loss on the mound for the Lady Spartans. On Tuesday, Szabo returned to the mound to defeat the Waite Indians 18-6. Sabrina Trenchik went 2-2 with a 3B and 4 runs batted in. The
